Or would women simply fill the role that men have had for aeons?

Personally, I don't think it would be all that less violent. Maybe it has something to do with a feeling of power and entitlement that comes with ruling a world. People do strange things when given the opportunity to do so without (much) consequence to themselves. Look at that Zimbardo prison experiment at Stanford. While the were all men, many of the "guards" got really into their roles very early on. They were allowed to do nearly anything and took full opportunity. Who's to say women would be all that different when given such a gree range?

men are maximum possibly to be victems of violent crime - we've been instructed this at school. And all of us have been given the self protection lecture. i'm no longer completely specific what the information are between the genders for violent crimes comitted via somebody you understand and violent crimes comitted via strangers - i think of girls are greater centred via opportunist violent criminals, while otherwise it quite is violent crime with (no longer reason - background?) at the back of it. yet i'm no longer completely specific of the information on that. the two are the two undesirable, that is in simple terms that the former could be hekped via understanding of threat on the same time as the latter desires a societal attitudes substitute (the lad/ladette lifestyle)

I just know this...

God made men and then rested. God made women and then no one could rest.

But to come to your question, I would like to say that a world ruled by women would look much better than the one we are living in at present. For women have artistic talents and they make everything beautiful and wonderful and that too with all their hearts whereas most men are heartsless and lack in beautiful creations.

Elisabeth I and Margaret Thatcher, two of the greatest leaders this world has ever created, also probably two of the most heartless. Equal, if not surpassed any of there male counter-parts, in ruthlessness and guile. It could be argued they where forced to compete in a male dominated world and had to be extra tough, but some how I don't believe it. I don't think the world would be different in any respect. Humanity is as it is, not because how runs the show.

I think it would be. Women have different ways of solving problems because of their nurturing qualities. Men have testosterone, and do resort to violence much more quickly. You can bring up cat fights, etc. but how many cat fights have you witnessed compared to fist fights amongst men.

An excellent thesis of matriarchy vs. patriarchy is wonderfully written in the book "The Chalice and the Blade" by Riane Eisler. It's a must read on this subject.

Check out the Amazons, Queen Elizabeth 1st, Joan of Arc, Boedicea, Cleopatra etc, need I go on. Also everybody knows that the female of the species will turn really nasty to protect their own. So my real answer is I guess not.

yeah a nuclear war could take place in the first few seconds of our ruling! we'd sniff out the nasty nuclear stuff and take out the men that put us in uggy spaces first. so...then we'd be scruitenising which men to keep and which one's not to. the clever men would soon develop an undetected space station and pick a few women to go with that aren't into the new nasty stuff and live happily ever after in space, and maybe come back, undetected, and take out all the women.

who knows...lot's of scratching and swearing!

ladies...?!?

Are you kidding ? I went to a co-ed boarding school in England and those girls were just plain nasty. Nothing a boy could do would come close to the girls - I think we'd have nuclear oblivion inside 6 months.

Sure; it would be filled with shades of fuscia and gold, and we'd have a monthly civil war. Sounds like utopia.

Well, it sorta depends. Women get in cat fights, so that's your answer lol. We probably wouldn't fight as much though. Like over big things. Probably just over little things like another person dropping something on us or whatever lol.
