Frogs and toads are both amphibians and they are similar in many ways, but they are also different in a few ways.

Generally, frogs spend most of their lives in or near water. Toads on the other hand, get out on land a little more and find their way into gardens and yards. Frogs also usually have moist slimy skin, while toads have dry bumpy skin. That is usually the best way to tell them apart.

By the way frog eggs are found in a mass while toad eggs are more in a chain. And, just so you know, toads cannot give you warts.

Frogs jump; toads crawl. Toads seems sleepy all the time while frogs are partying; bright-eyed and energetic. Toads are really loyal - had one that lived under my kitchen sink for 5 years, and every April, she would crawl out and go into the garden. Funny thing was, we never saw her come back in, but I know it was the same toad ...
Otherwise, yes ... the eggs are different. Chains as opposed to bags of spawn ... Father Toads are among the best daddies in the animal kingdom.

A frog is wet and sticky whilst a toad is dry and rough. Frogs live most of their time in water whilst toads will half bury them selves in soil and only enter water to breed. Both are very good for the garden, especially the toad who eat lots of slugs etc.........

Frogs live in the water, toads live on land. They will go back and forth, but that's the primary difference.
