Well, some of my favorites are electricity, telephone, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, computer, and anything that has to do with keeping our children safe (safety gates, security alarms, car seats, seat belts, baby monitors, smoke alarms, etc.) There are plenty of important inventions...too hard to just choose one...oh, yeah and camera's too..I love being able to capture those incredible moments in life.

This question is a strongly opinionated question with no clear cut answer. I personally believe the wheel is the most important invention of all time.

The most important discovery is the control of fire. The most important invention has to be simple tools. With out both, we would still be eating bushes.

I think it was either the alphabet (or language) - without which we would have no way to communicate with others to advance or put forth any ideas - or the printing press - which could get those ideas to a large group of people.

Peace!

Antiseptic by Mr. Joseph Lister. Prior to that surgery was dangerous and deadly. Medical care and personal hygiene changed dramtically and is what it is today because of it.

Very subjective, but I'd have to say antiseptic. Joseph Lister and all that. If we didn't have a clean world, we'd be too disease ridden to advance technologically.
