Without a doubt, it was the Ford Capri. I had a 3litre black ford capri as my very first car in the late 80's and I have never had the same attachment with any other car since.

Dave 313 obviously knows what he is talking about. The best Ford ever was the GT40 which was first raced in the mid 60's after Ford tried unsucccessfully to take over Ferrari. It was developed in an attempt to put Ferrari in their place. No other Fords ever came close to this one. The new Ford GT is a faint reflection of the original.

I would like a Mark I Ford Capri in that delicious chocolate brown colour. They were COOL. The mark IIs were good too but not AS good...
I also want a Mini 1275 GT (like Marc Bolan had). Having had a regular 998cc Mini, I bet the 1275 goes like sh*t off a shovel :-D I'd like a Mini Moke too (they're not jokes, they're little Mini Mokes)
And a Carman Ghia, they're pretty foxy too. And a white Lotus Esprit :-)
Dammit, cars had so much more character back in the day. Now they're all faceless and silver...

Nope the GT40 was produced in the 60s so thee were no decent Fords in the 70s or 80s unless you include Yanks and then it must be an early 70s Mustang

Sierra RS Cosworth... particularly the rarer RS500. A whale-talil on the back, over 200BHP. Probably the definitive 'Fast Ford'.

No question. A '64 fairlane thunderbolt. A strict race car with license plates. It had a 427 in it. How 'bout an AC Cobra? Quickest production sports car ever produced. 0 to 100 mph and stop in 10.1 seconds. I drool whenever I see one. Cobra was my fave in the '70's, and it still is.
