I agree with the above answer, but if you must wear your contacts, try using your thumb and forefinger to keep your eyelids open, and your middle or ring finger to put the contact in. Practice: Make a "C" shape with your thumb and index finger, pretending you have the contact in position on the tip of your middle finger. Bring the "C" up to your eye and use your thumb to hold the lower lid down, and the forefinger to hold the upper lid up. Then pretend to put in the contact with your middle finger. It may be a bit tricky especially on the side of the broken hand (your nose will get in the way), but it could work. Try it for real the first time over a surface that you can find your contact on. call your eye dr. I think they have a thing that will help you put your contact in, or maybe you could get extended wear.
