I think you will probably have better future in Croatia, but if you insist....They have this thing called immigration lottery. Basically, you apply for green card and then computer randomly chooses about 50,000 people whom green cards are issued. You can get forms to fill in US Embassy in Zagreb. You can always try Canada too, their approach is slightly better - you fill in questionnaire where they asses your knowledge of languages, education, age, family situation and give you points. If you have enough points, you can apply for visa. If you type "Canada immigration" in google, you should be able to find form online, so you can try it yourself. If you only want to immigrate for financial reasons, you can easily get job and necessary papers in Ireland (it's nice place to live) and most of European countries (you can get temporary tax number in most of european countries which will enable you to work for 3 to 6 months - after that you have to leave, but you can come back even after one day). Try one of the Internet job portals as well, like www.monster.com - if you find employer who is willing to employ you, they will apply for your work permit. There is more and more business which require knowledge of particular languages like Croatian, so give it a shot. Good luck!

Find an American who will marry you ... seriously ... it's the easiest way. Some people will marry someone to help get them citizenship, for a price. I've known people who have done it for $5000 or $10000.
