do you think the mafia is still in business or have they just changed names to organized crime have you ever?
met anyone associated with them?? I think i have but they seemed to be less ruthless than the movies protray,it might have been i wasn't a threat and just a plain ole working guy,i had an ex-police officer that told me the economy would probably be ruined if the undergroud economy was stopped is that possible? And do you think that with the money involved with ilegal drugs that there are a lot of important people behind it and only the people on the streets are the one arrested and put behind bars because they can be replaced and it looks like the law enforcement is doing a good job,so the big cheese dont take a hit??

Of course "organized" crime is still in existence, the economy would not exist without it, so I guess I agree with the ex-police officer. Most crime, organized and otherwise has front men and women who will be arrested and take the blame for what is happening and the big-wigs remain unharmed. I know that I have met some "connected" people, but since I have nothing to do with any criminal behavior I don't worry about them at all. There are organized crime groups in all countries and all nations, the "mafia" is just more visible and well-known. Have a good day.
