Simple. It's because practically every terrorist act today is committed by Muslims or those that claim to be.

Historically it is rare for the United States to be opposed to Islamic states and groups. Prior to the hostage crisis in 1979 I think you have to go back to 1810. There doesn't seem to be any national goal of attacking Islamic states and there appears to be no specific animosity against Islam. The United States has a very large number of Muslims in it and quite a few are national leaders of business and we may have a member of congress soon who is Muslim.

First, Iraq was opposed because it attacked Kuwait and threatened to destabilize the balance of power in the region to someone viewed in the West (Sadaam Hussein) as akin to Adolph Hitler. It is important to remember that Hussein was a fascist and did model himself off of national socialism in Germany.

Second, Iran in condoning the taking of American hostages attacked the United States. Iran placed itself at war with America. Had the Islamic revolution there simply taken over the government, I suspect we would be friends right now. We have a lot of natural aligned self-interests. Iran has chosen death to the Americans and so has made itself America's enemy.

Pakistan is an ally of the United States. The United States desparately needs stability in Pakistan because India is emerging as the next possible super power. As a democratic state, its emergence is far preferable to the emergence of communist China as the regional and global power.

Afghanistan is just unlucky. During the war with the Soviets the United States funded their freedom fighters. As a condition of Soviet withdrawal, the United States agreed to abandon Afghanistan as though the nation never existed. What wasn't realized was that without support Afghanistan could not survive as a free and independent state, the damage was too extensive internally and the animosities too great. Afghanistan would not be an enemy today had their customs not prevented them from turning over Al'Quada. Americans do not consider them an enemy either, but rather a nation with our enemies in it. The Taliban and Islamist extremist have declared war on us, we seek to irradicate them from the face of the Earth. If they stop on their side, we will eventually stop on our side. We have no self-interest in this war. When they surrender, we are done.

It's not Islam and Muslims it's just the bad ones. You know, the ones that are always calling for the destruction of the infidels. Muhamed called for the destruction of the Jews. Real nice guy eh? Many muslims don't follow that part of what he said. Nice to see another contradicting religion that allows for it's own followers to kill each other like they are doing in Iraq.

you're confusing the guy with the story. till the upward thrust of ire among the Palestinians maximum folk did not take any observe or in some cases even comprehend that their co worker/neighbour/infants buddy became a Muslim. It became a non project. Of a ways extra desirable magnitude 50 to a hundred 365 days in the past became have been they Polish/Catholic/Jewish etc? to not point out the large ***** divide.... of direction there have been Muslims in united statesa. by way of fact the commencing up of major immigration. they have equipped the rustic in the comparable way as the different immigrant race and non secular denomination has. the version over the final twenty years or so is, ( terrorism aside because it has monetary and political reasons), that they've refused to be non-vocal approximately what they see as their equivalent rights to stay their lives the way they like.

because the fanatic fundamentalist whom all claim to be part of Islam have pinpointed to crush freedom starting with Israel then immediately after the USA and they made it very public on 9/11, they happen to reside in most Muslim states. The situation in Iraq is an abortion started by the Idiot in the White House all for personal reasons

Not only America.Everybody does.
Russia for Chechnya
Somalia Sudan etc you know why.
India for the bombing ,killing etc.
Bali for the same reason.
Israel for being denied the right to have a country like every body else.
Armenians for being slaughtered by the Turks.
The European Union for the constant trouble they are giving us.
ETC
Where ever there is a conflict in the world today there is always a frustrated Muslim involved ,trying to impose on others.
That is why.

They don't. always pinpoint Islam..they have had military engagements with countries, who are not Islamic. Think of Latin American countries such as Cuba (Bay of Pigs), Chile (Allende overthrow), Nicaragua (Daniel Ortega). None of these countries are Islamic to my knowledge. They're pinpointing those who they
believe to be or could a threat to them. North Korea is an example. China and USSR/Russia are other examples. What
about Japan in World War 2?

Their minds are very primitive. They still believe in beating woman and killing people without mercy. They want everyone to be in their own religion.

Pakistan is the biggest problem. Al Quaeda has been trying to kill MUsharaf, the leader of Pakistan. Pakistan has like 7 nukes. If Al Quaeda had that... imagine...

And you wonder why muslims?

That's a pretty general statement. Not everyone in America does. Certain politicians that hold the control may (or may not), but we as individual citizens have our own individual opinions. I am a christian, & I happen to feel that any religious fanaticism is dangerous. Fanatical Christians have blown up women's clinics because of their "right to life" beliefs. I don't agree with that or discount that, because I am Christian. I am well aware that there are good & bad, sane & insane in every ethnic & religious background.

You are looking at it through a scope. What about China; Russia; N. Korea; Venezuela?
It just happens that the countries you named harbor terrorists which is the evil of today!
