I'm always sad. I feel like I can't be happy for more than a day. Sometimes I sit and cry for no reason. I feel helpless and insecure. Does anybody feel this way? Should I talk to someone?

It sounds like you may be depressed. It would be a good idea to seek out professional help. A good starting place may be your family physician who should be able to refer you to someone.

Believe me you are not alone. There are millions of people who suffer from depression and who lead full, happy, active lives. Talk to someone and you may even find others in your community that can be of assistance to you. The face of depression is widely varied. There are no boundaries for it, not socio-economic, not religious or cultural. It seems to affect people from all walks of life. Know that you are not to blame for feeling the way you do, you may just be sick.

Good Luck!

Most everyone has a low-grade sadness running much of the time, but most keep themselves busy so as to avoid noticing the sadness.

In the West, since we deny Karma, and reincarnation, and buy into the Christian notion of one life to live, relatively few realize that they may be "old" Souls, and that they may have lived many, many lives before this one. There is a point in all ones lives that one crosses over the apex of life generally, and begins ones slow process of extraction from the play. This transition initiates several things, and one of these is an elevated Apapsyche [consciousness].

What this does, gradually, is cause one to "see" some of the illusion of this plane, and this means some of the hollowness of what one previously saw as exciting. The more one observes the cardboard nature of this plane, the more sad one becomes... until ones elevation includes some of the rationale for the whole play.

The sadness is a bit of homesickness for God by ones Soul. As long as one has been popping in and out of the physical plane, that is the time one has been separated from an experience of God. The more lives one has lived, the longer one has been separated, and thus, the sadder one is at the beginning of ones transition.

Not much one can do with homesickness, except realize that it is a reminder of who and what one is, and that one is on ones way Home.

Peace

The problem here, my dear, is more deep than a depression, your sad for some reason that you don't now or don't want to know... yet. Let me tell you, as unusual as it may sound is a very good thing that you can cry, that way you release a part of the negative energy and sadness out. In order to get better and better you need to speak to a specialist, and sometimes more than one, don't forget, they're human too, and they too can make mistakes in offering or applying a treatment, if needed.

I've actually been having feelings like this lately and it feels really good to know I'm not the only one that's always seems depressed... I'm thinking about getting a psychologist soon though, so maybe it would be a good idea for you too... I hope everything works out well...=)

I definitely sounds like you should talk to someone. No-one should feel sad all the time. It sounds like you could be depressed, and talking to a professional can help you sort this out. Good luck.

sure, your parents or the State pay for your Health Insurance so go and see a Psychologist, it will cost some money out of pocket but it will be worth it if you tell them everything, never withhold information even if it's embarrassing or weird, the more they know the better the advise and answers to move forward

yes you should talk to someone. you might be depressed. You arent alone- i feel this way too. I go to see a psycologist. Not because anything is wrong with me but just because it helps to be able to talk to someone else, who can give me advise on how to be happier. You most likely need professional help, so get it. you will feel so much better once you do. it really helps to talk to someone. i hope you start to feel better- i know its no fun to feel this way!:)
