How about a DC character, Black Lightning...? he's pretty powerful and they would have something common....
A few years ago, when Storm lost her powers and Loki tried to get her to take an uru hammer so that she could be Storm the (Norse) goddes of thunder, I wondered if she would give Lady Sif some competition for Thor! But alas, I guesss those Asgardians are prejudiced against those from Swartalfheim.
