I've had exima for years---nothing big---just an occasional spot once and a while on my arm or leg or something, but now for some reason a whoe lot of them have been appearing in the groin region---what do I do? Am I sick? Is something wrong with me? Note: the exima looks a little red.

Help! I'm worried sick!

Have you been sweating a lot, that it would be particularly moist down there? That could make it chafe down there. Any recent changes in laundry detergent, fabric softener, or soap that might be irritating your skin?

You should probably also make sure it's not anything fungal, since the groin area is a fairly easy target. A fungal infection, depending on the type, might look a bit similar, and also a little red. It should be easier to take care of than eczema.

If it is just eczema, stress could make it worse. Have you been more stressed lately, specifically right before you noticed it starting in your groin?

Good luck, and take it easy. If all else fails, ask your doctor next time you see him/her.

Try buying Essential Fatty Acids, or Fish Oil or Omega 3. It is an effective treatment for eczema.

Why ask here? A doctor should determine what it is. Make an appointment to find out.
