I'm so picky about keeping my electronics clean, especially my laptop screen. So I use specific products that are made to clean them. They sell them at my local Staples store and consist of moistened wipes and also a dry cloth that you polish after wiping down the screen. I don't care if someone says windex will work.....i'm NOT risking it!

OK well when you go to hotels they normally give you those shoe cleaning cloths? Well those are the best for the screen and get a lot of stuff off! And NEVER EVER USE any thing wet that is not made for the screen it will permently damage the screen! This includes windex and eyeglass cleaners!

I'm not certain if a laptop's screen would be different or not, but I have an hp flatscreen monitor for my desktop, and the book that came with it recomends cleaning with a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol.

Just get a soft piece of cloth damp it with plane water, squeeze it and go over your screen lightly and carefully. Don't use anything else. This approach is very inexpensive, safe and effective. That's it!

the best thing is just plain old windex and a paper towel.

dont go using those shoe scrubbing or even screen cleaning towels. its a waste of money and they dont work.. in fact they can scratch your screen.

just plain old windex. you will regret it if you dont take my advice.

Well first, I would spray your "WINDEX" on a paper towel first, because if you spray it on your monitor it would most of the time be "unusable" .

And I would prefer windex too..
