No, you do not need to lose weight for some hot guy at school! Either you lose weight for yourself, or not at all, but NEVER for some stupid guy. And if you want to lose weight, you are going to have to do it slowly, unless you want to put it all back on and then some.

Really fast? Healthy weight loss is about 4 pounds or so a week (slightly more if you are really obese). Anything faster than that runs definite health risks.
The previous poster was basically right. Aerobic exercise and eating less is the sure fire way to drop weight. Forget ALL the gobbleygook about fancy diets and everything. Losing weight is painfully easy: exercise more and eat less.
Take 220 and subtract your age. That's your rough maximum heart rate. Now multiply that number by 0.65. That's your target heart rate. Engage in aerobic exercise (running, cycling, tennis, etc.) 3-4 days a week for 30 - 45 minutes per day at about that heart rate, eat less, and without knowing a thing about you, I guarantee you will lose weight. A lot. And you will feel infinitely better. Consider buying a cheap heart rate monitor to help you out. Many people get turned off exercising because they feel that they have to be at a near sprint when they run. Nope. Go as fast (or as slow) as you need to get your heart rate to about the target rate and maintain it.
As far as your diet goes, common sense goes a lonnnng way. Dont starve yourself or anything. Eat! Just eat a little less and use common sense. It's hard to lose weight if you eat 5 Snickers bars a week. So eat 2 instead. And you dont have to start eating like a rabbit either. Just eat less.
Naturally, if you are new to exercising, then work your way up to 30-45 mins. Consider getting a physical too.

Don't lose weight for some hot guy. Lose it for yourself and do it in a way you can sustain. If you have only a few pounds to lose, exercise and a modification of your diet (cutting out refined carbs, like bread and crackers and chips, as well as sugars, eating more lean protein and green vegetables) should do the trick over a couple weeks. Then watch your weight so it doesn't creep back up. If you have 15-20 pounds to lose, you need to give it a couple months. More than that, give it much longer. Anyway, I hope that Mr. Hottie likes you for being you. If he's only about looks, he's not worth it.

pick a sport. exercise everyday for 45 mins to and hour. this will get you toned. then, eat healthy and a little less then normal. ie: if you eat a whole club sandwich, a fruit, carrot sticks, and 2 cookies normally, try eating a half of a healthy sandwich( i love tomato mozerella basil) half an apple cut up, carrot sticks and only one cookie for the whole day. i went from a size 6 to a 0 using this method. but you shouldnt have to lose weight for a guy

first do it for yourself, second you didn't gain it overnight, so your not going to lose it overnight! I've lost 57 lbs since Jan. its a slow thing
