start now. dont wait, if you put it off now you'll see in a month how easy to shrug it off it was. go soon as you can and start calling. yes ask if 16 year old can work there. get some experience calling and asking. if you fill out applications go for interview and still dont get hired no big deal, it will happen. Get experience doing it now so later it will be easy

well there is not much need to wait till you get cellphone. Dont be shy just call them and yes tell them you are 16. if they accept then just go for it. if they dont no worries there is lots more places you can work. just call and say im wondering if i can have a part time job there. very simple dont think too much.

Most likely, you won't need to call on the phone for your first job. Places like stores and restaurants usually have you apply in person. You'll stop in and fill out an application. You'll need to tell them you are under 18, and you will need to have your parents or guardians sign a work permit upon hire. You can also apply to a lot of retail establishments online. Once you start working, you will be interacting with co-workers and customers, which will help you overcome your shyness. Good luck.

You have to find out if it is legal for you, in the city and where you live, to get a job at age 16. Ask your parents, they can tell if you are old enough to work.

Don't call, purty yourself up and go there in person with a resume. Even if u have no work experience to put on it, u can still tell them about you and why you'd be a damn fine employee. Don't be scared!! It's just a job!

hi dude it is too young to find a job and you have not mentioned your educational qualifications. However it is not advisable to go for a job now as you are too young to do it and may be laws also do not permit you to do a job
