Why do you think some people are vegetarians in the first place? I am, and I love meat and miss it. I eat meat like items for that reason. The reason I dont eat meat is cause it's killing a living thing when there are so many other good foods out there.

I wanna know how people think it's humane to eat fish when they obstain from other meats? Talk about an inhumane death, PETA would freak out if cows or chickens were killed in such a way. How come only cute animals are afforded protection in such a rabbid way. Like the seals - hey, if we don't kill those animals, they'll die.

I know...and they use so much processed crap and chemicals to make that stuff "meat-like" that you may as well eat the real thing. The sodium content in some of it is astronomical. I have nothing against being healthy but I don't think that stuff is healthy at all.

Veggie burgers and some soy products are actually very good.
I am against wearing animal furs and leather, but you certainly are entitled to your opinion.

If they're vegans they don't use any animal by-products at all. There are many different forms of vegetanarianism some eat no products from animals, some include eggs (or not) or dairy (or not), some eat fish (or not). My sister's veg (she eats cheese and eggs though no meat) and her friend is vegan.

The reason I am vegetarian is because it's immoral for us to use animals for our enjoyment. It's alright to make meat-like products, because we aren't really using animals.

I think they are against the killing of animals for use as food, and some just dont want animal protiens (and the things added to animals while they are being grown for slaughter) in their diet. I dont think they have any thing against the shape of food. like a patty or a weiner.

They taste nothing like meat version, that is why I eat them. They taste great (they taste like veggies or spices not meat), they don't involve killing, they look familure so people don't judge you for eating them.

Soy based products are vegetarian and pack more protein per gram than meat, and no fat or cholesterol.
