Depends on the type of Modelling you want to do. First thing you need is a Portfolio, find a Photog who will do "Time for Prints" and get copies in different resolutions for the Web on CD.

Modelling is like Acting but not as well paid. Most Pro's dont make a living at it and have to do a lot of promotion to sell themselves. You should buy Webspace on a Modelling Site like http://www.net-model.com/ A good Photog who deals with Models is your best bet for a start.

You could definitley be an actor but I don't think a model. Also that girl with the piercings is ugly! She would be more attractive without them. You have a chance at being a model though. I suggest building up a 6-pack and trying to make your skin more of a golden then a red.

The modeling industry is in New York City, if you want to model, you have to live where the work is. The fashion magazines, the stylists, designers, fashion editors, photographers, modeling agencies, television studios. Everything is here!
You don't have to take modeling classes in New York. The modeling agencies teach you for FREE!

Depends on where you live. If you live near London just look up model agencies on line, check that they take male 'new faces' and then just walk in and go and see them. They will give you an honest appraisal. Men have to be at least 6' i would think.

Most models are scouted out - by agencies:
Being active in current modeling and dancing competions will get you to stand out.
Submit some of your own work and photos on-line and send it off to agencies who may be intrested.

try video podcasting, getting a portfolio online, or getting your own domain and webspace. Then it's just publicising.

The podcasting is free to publish, and iTunes will take it for you.

Just get your face and body out there. And get noticed.
If you have what it takes then someone will pick u up. You hear of the horror stories of talent spotters bleeding money out of hopefuls. DIY and it costs as little or as much as you like.
