If I wanted to create an affiliate website for ebay, is it a good idea to promote an entire category such as clothing and accessories? If not , what if I promote one thing such as bags can I have a search page linking to the other categories? And Finally when my site vistor clicks on the link, will they be taken strait tothe sellers page or do I have to create pages about the seller.

It's my understanding that you should focus on a particular niche. For example, if you create a site all about a particular handbags, then you'll get targeted customers.

With ebay affiliate tools, you can show the auctions in various ways. For example, you can have a text link that says "great deals on handbags" which would take a visitor to ebay search results on a particular keyword.

Also, you can use the editor kit to show pictures. It really depends on how the link is used.

I would suggest experimenting alot. Test and measure your results.

The hard part (IMO) is how to drive traffic to your site.
