Is she in therapy? If so have the therapist or a female relative or friend for a mediater to do it. Someone that can keep her calm and stable. If have a Dad confess to him first. Even if he acts ackward. That's all the ideas I've got. Good luck to you.

If your mother is not stable, then I would be very careful about telling her. Don't know what to suggest really - you know her better than anybody here. Perhaps you should not be quite so careful about preserving an apparently het exterior, and allow her to draw her own conclusions over a period of time.
Good luck, anyway.

Why do you need to tell her? It seems most older people have no issues with two women living together; they do not assume there's anything sexual about it. So why upset your mother?
I believe in closets. I think it should be an option for people to keep private the matters of who goes with them when they close their bedroom door, let alone what they do in there. Ain't nobody's business if I do -- or don't, for that matter.

Have someone else around at the time if you are serious that she may attack you. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you don't live with her if there is a chance she may get mad and kick you out. Wish it wasn't such a big deal. Good Luck!!!

If you're afraid she'll attack you have someone else in the room with you when you tell her. Hopefully your mom is in therapy, if she is then go to one of her appointments with her and tell her there, it'll be safer for you. Good Luck Sweetheart!
