Because you needed to release emotions. The physical punching of the pillows just opened the emotional floodgates to get it all out of your system. Now all you need is a nice guy or girl to hold you and say "Everything's going to be allright" :)

what were you thinking about during this time? you tell me that and maybe i can help you. i'll check back on this question in a few hours.
by the way i dont know if this is because youre a woman and im a man but i seriously can't remember the "emotion" i felt just five minutes ago
reply: well i think that would be normal if you were thinking about people who once hurt you, if youre anything like me the next step is revenge. in your case if it was a man who treated you like crap, get a funnel a baseball bat and a pound of sugar, { if he has a car} take the funnel and stick it in his gas pump, pour the sugar down the funnel and use the baseball bat {preferably aluminum} and smash in the windsheild.
okay now that i think about it, you may want to try something else
plese don't be offended, im just trying to share my point of view

because you're releasing emotions that make you sad and cry. punching the pillows out of frustration told your brain that you needed to let go of some built up emotions. building up emotions like sadness, anger, frustration can cause you to put stress on the body which is unhealthy and can cause problems. i know that when i punch pillows or something i always end up crying, so you're normal. hope this helps! :D

punching pillows is a great way to express pent up emotions. first you usually feel anger and that is why you are punching, but once that anger is released you are able to feel the underlying cause of the anger, which most often is hurt and sadness. its a good thing- crying is theraputic and an important part of life. best wishes.

Sounds like you have a lot of emotion held back inside and this was a safe release. Crying is good for the soul.

Don't think punching the pillows had anything to do with it. Maybe it was really a person you wanted to punch.
