This is great because my baby girl just turned seven months today and I have been worried about the same thing. I asked her pediatrician about it last week when she went and she said that it was perfectly normal for them not to get teeth yet. She said that all kids are different and she would get hers when she got them and not to worry about it. They would come eventually.

Of course not. The 'avg' is between 6mths and the first year according to my baby book! And like my husband says, have you ever seen an adult who never had their teeth come in??? This is definitely an area that you should not worry about. And if you're nursing, lucky you!
P.S. I just read someone who said breastfeeding delays teething... Umm, what did I do wrong then? My girl had 8 teeth by 9mths! Seriously, I dont think there can be a correlation there... teeth are 'programmed' to come out from birth I believe.

No. The foster baby that I have was 7 months old when she came to live with us & didn't have any teeth. In the first 2 1/2 weeks she was here with us she got 6 teeth!!! They just were waiting to all come in together I guess. LOL

Not at all. My baby is also seven months old and has no teeth. Her Doctor said a good percentage of babies don't get teeth until after they are 8 months old and some not until they are a year old. So don't worry, just enjoy your toothless angel!

No, the longer it takes for teeth to come in the better. My daughter got her first one at 6 months, but my son didn't get his until right before his first birthday. He's now 14 months and he still only has 4 teeth.

Not at all. My children got teeth between 8 and nine months. Babies develop at different rates, and should not be compared to each other. If you do feel worried talking to your health visitor or Dr will ease your worries.xxxx

Nope not at all! This is especially true if you are breast feeding. Breastfeeding actually keeps teeth from coming in. HOWEVER you really should brush your baby's gums twice a day. This keeps the teeth from rotting BEFORE they break through (called Milk Bottle Rot).

Don't worry! When baby teeth come in correlates to when they come out and the adult teeth come in. I've heard that later teeth are stronger teeth. The gums are hard enough for baby to chew food if he or she is ready. Good luck!

No my son never cut his first tooth untill he was 10 months. Every baby is different and some teeth faster than others.

dont worry. my kids didnt get teeth til they were about a year old. the later they come in, the healthier the teeth. they baby teeth will stay in longer too, so dont worry if they lose their teeth after all of thier friends do.
