Hi going to Orlando, (staying at Quality Inn Plaza, International Drive) at the beginning of November for 2 weeks, we had already bought our themepark tickets and are going to Discovery Cove. Any more suggestions? Places to eat etc. The ages are 40, 21 20 and 16, me, my son, his fiance and my daughter

We go there every year. There is of course, tons to do and although we haven't done Discovery Cove due to my kids being too young, I understand it is awesome. Cape Canaveral is very good. It's only around an hour away and is good for a day http://www.visalaw.com/05apr2/2apr205.html. Gatorland is OK for a few hours, nothing special but you'll see a lot of one of Florida's most talked about creatures http://www.gatorland.com/. If you've never been before, have a look at the Disney & Universal web sites. Because you are going in November, the opening hours will be shorter than those in summer and one or two of the water parks may be closed. However, the queues are much shorter so you'll still be able to get everything done. Don't forget the outlet malls (Premium Outlet Mall) on I-4 and Belz on I-Drive (not far from you), and the extra suitcase for bringing back all of the stuff you buy from them! Have a great trip.

Both Universal parks and Busch gardens are best for rides, make sure you go on Spiderman and Mummys Revenge at Universal.Best value ticket is Universals 5 park ticket inc free transport to Busch Gdns You have point orlando right opposite where you are staying, got some good bars upstairs and a couple of discos. Get hold of some coupon books, which are everywhere for discounts at places like Ponderosa and Sizzler, Sizzlers steaks are spot on and cheap.
Get the I Drive trolley bus, huge shopping malls at either end of its journey, got levi 501 jeans last year for £14.
Who knows may bump into you, were there similar time only at the Quality Inn International further up the strip

Discovery Cove is fantastic, was there in August.
Good place to eat Racerock Cafe on int'l drive.Like Hardrock but for motor racing.
Then theres Hardrock at Universal or Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney.
If you like seafood the Crabshack is good.
There is loads of choice out there though if these don't suit you.
Have a great time!

You have to go to Skull Kingdom it is on I Drive opposite Wet and Wild. Basically it is a haunted house but it was the second best thing we did after Universal.

Other great things to do is Dixie Stampede. This is Dolly Partons evening and although she isn't their in person she is defiantly their in spirit. It is the tackiest night ever but you are well feed and it is something that will stay with you for a very long time. Cost is about $60 each so quite pricey but it is easy to get to from where you are staying just get in the i hop for one dollar and it is the last stop about one hour way.

For those of you how like shopping their is a great mall which is opposite Dixie stampede, I got a great pair of Dior shoes for £80 the cost in the UK was £290. What a saving..

What ever you do don't forget to relax and enjoy yourself, I wish i were going with you.

A great place to eat..and eat..and eat...and eat is Ponserosa! Its's just an all out buffet for you to cram your face for next to nothing. Which is my cup of tea for sure. Give it ago coz you can find them all over florida.. Also give sizzlers a go (cant go wrong with a medium done oversized steak)
