Yes! If there was no witchcraft the catholic church would not need to train exorcists! Nor take so much care of the bread and water at holy Communion so that its not used in a black mass!
Origins in America? No I think its European as the USA is such a young country. Maybe native Americans? We were burning witches centuries before the Mayflower set of for the New world in merry old England.
Dangerous thing real witchcraft!

Yes. I do but I dont know if it has its origins in america or not.
Lots of different tribes still have different types of witchcraft and most countries practiced the pagan religion before the romans invaded so I believe that it goes back to almost the beginning of time.
Paganism was the original religion.

Nonsense. Which is what the Blair Witch is, Hollywood pooehy.
The craft is European, it is basically the worship of pre-Christian deities, usually Goddess personages, and in its original form is very close to nature. The Neo-Pagan movement grew from the writings of various 20th century scholars into the craft who also practised it, people like Gerald Gardner and Doreen Valiente and Janet and Stewart Farrar, and many others, and is particularly drawn from practices of covens in Northern Italy.
There are witches associated with Salem, Massachussetts, but how close they are with the craft/Pagan path I'm not sure. I did read a very good book by a writer based in that area, Laurie Cabot, which I found extremely informative about the craft. There are still a lot of hereditary witches in Europe, despite the various religious and political changes that have occurred there over the centuries. Generally it is a benign path.

The practice of Witchcraft is quite old, dating back even beyond the Dark Ages. Have you ever heard of "the Burning Times" or the Inquisition? There are several websites that give a detailed, somewhat correct history on the subject. There are also many different paths of Witchcraft (Alexandrian, Eclectic, Kitchen, Strega, etc.), just as there are different forms of Christianity (Baptist, Catholic, Pennecostal, etc.). It is a fascinating study, and a wonderful and fulfilling path I might add.

Well, being a Witch, yes, I would have to say I believe in it. And it wasn't founded in America - Modern Wicca and Neopaganism were founded in America. "Witchcraft" and "Wicca" are relatively new terms. The practices themselves have been around quite literally for thousands of years.

rofl. I don't know where people get this stuff.
I'm a witch, so yes I believe in it. No, it's origins aren't in America. It's origins trace to far older pagan religions. It's most recent and modern incarnation (Wicca. Of which I'm one) actually started from a British man named Gerald Gardner.

to not be picky yet possibly the genuine question isn't any count if witchcraft spells, curses etc actual are effectual. Witchcraft is genuine and has been around for hundreds of years. anybody has the capacity to result events around them the two interior the main minute way or in a greater considerable way in the event that they have found out to regulate their innovations. So it quite is risk-free to anticipate that a centred guy or woman ought to do undesirable issues in the event that they set their innovations to it. In experiments utilising hundreds of ball barrings dropping right into a hopper with distinctive holes drilled in it. they had human beings concentration to attempt to make greater balls bypass in distinctive holes and whilst all become stated and executed there become a small yet truthfully difference interior the form of balls going into the holes they needed them to bypass into. In witchcraft, the drawing of stars and lighting fixtures candles is for teach and is a super number of BS. it quite is ceremony and custom. you need to have circus track taking part in interior the historic past and it quite is not correct. all of us have concept and the capability of motive. in basic terms some human beings are greater effectual at utilising it. sure i believe in Witchcraft yet i believe in it on a point of concept and motive.
