Several universities offer master's degrees in financial engineering. I do not know any that offer an undergraduate degree in the field. However, there may be some where you can take one or two financial engineering classes as an undergraduate.

If you are interested in working in financial engineering, my advice is to go to the best undergraduate business school that you can get into, major in finance and take as many mathematice and statistics classes that you can take.

Many of the best business schools (Duke, Stanford, Harvard, etc) do not have undergraduate business programs. At these schools, you might be able to major in economics with a minor in mathematics.

The best undergraduate business schools are:

1. Wharton
2. MIT
3. University of California at Berkeley
4. University of Michigan
5. University of Virginia
6. NYU

Any of these schools would be excellent places to get the toold that you need.

nicely all of them contain maths and physics. mutually as im optimistic all of them incorporate small components of chemistry, of course chemical engineering is maximum chemical in intensity. some style of bio-engineering could be quite chemistry in intensity too, yet i assume the shortcoming of an interest in biology regulations that out :) the appropriate area of do nevertheless is to talk to somebody who knows of greater, and is a sturdy source of information. possibly any engineers you recognize, a lectuer/professor etc. there isn't any one "appropriate" engineering, because of the fact it actual relies upon on what interest you finally end up with. you need to get a level in chemical engineering, yet that doesnt inevitably advise you would be working in a field on the subject count of chemical compounds.
