I helped sponsor an organization that had two service days a year. Here are some of the things we did...work at the local food bank, the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Women's Protective Services, Early Learning Centers, Senior Centers, City Parks and Recreation, Audubon Society, University Medical Center/Health Science Center, State School, Children's Home. Our policy was that we would do whatever the agency wanted us to do and we would do it with a smile and without complaining. Our tasks were varied and sometimes inside, sometimes outside, sometimes involved manual labor but sometimes not. When all was said and done, the kids ALWAYS loved the day.
