First, convert to improper fractions by multiplying the denominator by the whole number, and adding the numerator:

3*2+3=8, so first fraction is 8/3
5*14+2=72, so second fraction is 72/5.

Now multiply the numerators, and the denominators:

8/3 * 72/5 = 576/15

Convert back to a mixed number: divide 576 by 15. the quotient is the whole number, and the remainder is the numerator.

576/15 = 38 6/15 = 38 2/5.

James L must of failed Math class lol.

Make the 2/3 and 2/5 have the same divedend [ lower number ]

3 and 5 both go into 15...so here's what we do...2/3 of 15 is 10, so 2/3 = 10/15
2/5 of 15 is 3, so 2/5 = 3/15

Add them together = 13/15
Add the original numbers, 3+14 = 17

Your total is 17 and 13/15.

First convert the mixed numerals to mixed fractions

3 2/3= 11/3

14 2/5= 72/5

Then multiply the two together, convert back to a mixed numeral.

792/15 or 52 12/15 or 52 4/5
