Pregnant Women Exposed to Chicken Pox
Pregnant women who have a history of a previous chicken pox infection or who have been immunized have antibodies to the virus. These antibodies are transferred to the infant through the placenta throughout the pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant women who are immune and are exposed to someone with chicken pox do not need to worry about complications for themselves or their infant.

If you have had the chicken pox already or the shot, your baby should be fine. I was exposed to the shingles (a form of the chicken pox) when I was pregnant, and that's what the doctor told me.

The only way your unborn child can be exposed to chicken pox is if you actually get chicken pox while pregnant....

If you contract chicken pox it can be a danger to your child..

If you had chicken pox as a child you can not contract chicken pox again.. It is perfectly safe for you to be exposed to someone with the chicken pox virus as you already have the antibodies for the virus in your system.. Your exposure to someone with chicken pox will not expose your unborn child to chicken pox, only having chicken pox while pregnant will expose your unborn child....

If you have had chicken pox, then nothing. If you haven't and get chicken pox before three months, it can cause miscarriage, after 6 months can cause premature labour. The little boy I used to look after had chicken pox when I was about three months pregnant but because I had already had it, I didn't have to worry.

The best thing to do if you're exposed is go to the doctor. They will draw some blood, and if neccessary give you some kind of medication that will be helpful , yet safe to your baby. I'm at work right now , I just asked an OBGYN this , so I've got this firsthand.
