Why do you call it as a waste of time? Don't you think that Hindus and Buddhists have peace of mind than western people? It is because of meditations. Can it be waste of time then?

Weird according to who? And, for that matter, Buddhism seems to me to be a whole lot less armful than whatever comes out of Islam, for instance.
