any discharge, milk or other, from the nipple must be checked if you aren't pregnant. If I were you, id seek a second opinion. Don't be fooled because you have been well for the last few years, it can be a sight of serious changes, and yes, cancer and infection are 2 possibilities.
Ask to be referred to a breast clinic.
Ive known it to happen to adolescents, and that's considered normal. I haven't heard of it happening with effexor or similar drugs, although i do know several people taking them. It certainly isn't a known side effect of effexor

Some psychotropic drugs can make the body produce prolactin. I experienced this when I was taking effexor and olazapine. If it does not stop go back to the Doctors and demand to be checked out again. You could also consider going on a different medication. I know the citalopram family does not cause this type of reaction. Good luck.

Ive never had the problem except when I was pregnant but I have done research on the Internet about cysts in the breast and breast cancer and that CAN cause .. it .. I'm not saying that's the reason that's happening but you should ask your doc. to do a breast exam on you and check for cysts if they find one... have them do a biopsy on it to rule out cancer!

yes my doctor kept telling me to wear a tighter bra to stop it, it didn't do much good and after a while i got really fed up and he finally told me to try water tablets which can be found in any herbalists, they are great and really making a difference. good luck and i hope it works for you.
