Maybe you should see what she is interested in first. If she likes cats, maybe you could get her one (with parents permission)..or if she likes jewelry, well...buy her a necklace.
I think girls that age are just starting to get girly and like to go shopping. Maybe a gift card to her favorite store might work?

did she give you any hints? What kind of music does she like that she dosen't have? If you are really stuck here, try a gift certificate to her favorite mall and tell her you want to go shopping with her to so you can see that she gets what she really likes. (can't go wrong with that one)

perfume that isn't tostrong and that you like because if she really likes you she will wear it and whats the point if giveing a girl perfume that you don't like cause you'llhave to smell it every time you give her a hug
