It plays halo and halo2 but not Doom 3, Oddworld Munch's Oddysee ,or Oddworld Strange's Wrath.

Its either not one of the backwards compatibality games the 360 can play or you 360 is updated with the newest playable xbox games on the 360. If you want to update your 360 then you can either join xbox live and have it updated automaticly or you can buy one of the Official Xbox magizines and put in the demo disk, go to features and select Backwards compatibality update.

Some game makers Knew that xbox360 was going to come like like Bungie the people that made Halo and Halo2 so they put stuff in the disk so it could last for the next xbox.

Not all xbox games are compatible with the new 360. I believe there is a list on the x360 website.

well because its an xbox game,but you can play it by going on xbox360games.com and it will tell you how to play it,trust me it works cuz im doing it now
