I will be relocating to Bonn, Germany next year. I have a six year old daughter and wondered if anyone knew the options available to us outside of the international schools as those are hardly affordable. She is leaving a private catholic school here and I would really love for her to be comfortable. I would also appreciate any information about the school system in Germany.

*If you are in the military there are schools for the children on base and there is no cost. If not will your work place pay for schooling? The schools in Germany are strict and very good there is no goofing off or bad behavior. They do not get such long vacation time in the summer as we do but do get at least a six-week span as most German workplaces give that to their workers for vacation. Your child will pick up the language very fast if around German children. *
