There is always a chance with condoms. They sometimes don't stay right up or they could simply break. Not just with a prostitute. Just because someone looks clean and respectable does not mean they can't have HIV and not even know it.

There is still a chance to catch a disease. Although using a condom CORRECTLY can significantly reduce the chance of disease or pregnancy, it does not completely eliminate the chances of either. The only thing that is 100% safe is abstinence.

If you are concerned, you need to see a doctor or go to a clinic to have yourself tested. If you have caught something, it will get much worse if left untreated.

That said, using a condom is only effective when you follow the directions on the package for use which should include:

1) Checking the expiration date to be sure you are not using an expired condom.

2) Pinching the tip of the condom and holding the pinch while you roll the condom on. This ensures there will be space inside the condom for the sperm after you ejaculate which will decrease the chance of condom breakage.

3) Using only one condom during each sex act.

4) Never pulling out after the sex act without holding onto the condom to keep it on you until you have completely withdrawn.

5) Never re-using the same condom for another sex act.

There is always a chance to catch something from someone whenever you have sex. Proper condom usage can drastically reduce that chance.

Have SAFE fun!

A condom is not 100% safe it offers some protection if used correctly, which most guys do not know how to use,
you have variables like the condom is new and was stored in a cool place not a wallet,
you also cannot guarantee non contact with vavinal secretions as when withdrawing you have to hold onto it.
you can still get syphilis or herpes even if you use a condom as the lesions are around the genitalia and that is an area the condom does not protect.
Believe me get a steady monogamous partner or practice abstinence if you want any guarantees

you know, prostitutes aren't the only women out there who may be carrying a disease. condoms are never 100% safe with anyone. If you're really worried you should go to a LEGAL brothel, they have them in Nevada and the girls are tested once a week for diseases. That's more than the average chick at the bar and prostitutes at these places always use condoms, again different from all those girls at the bar.........

A condom is NEVER 100% safe. By the way, not that I think this is "National Prostitute Appreciation Week" or anything,..but I've met a few females (and I'm sure there are males, too) who seemed every bit as "nasty" as prostitutes are supposed to be. Let's watch our judging, kiddies.

Yes it is still possible but your chances of any STD or STI transmission are greatly reduced.

In many countries it is essential and a requirement that registered sex workers are periodically checked for this reason.

Well. There is always that chance -- I wouldn't trust a condom fully with a prostitute --
