how can i change the font on my out going e's?

I do not get any 'ff', etc.nothing, nada.
So what happens now?

Hi,
Depends what email tool you are using.
If Outlook - can change it by going to Tools menu, selecting Options then choose the mail format tab and follow instructions from there.
If using Yahoo or similar, when you compose a message, you should see something like a button - at the top of the message with 'ff' or 'f' - if you click on that - you can change from there.
