Based on some studies, caffeine in carbonated drinks do not affect the effectiveness of antibiotics (as compared to alcohol). Antibiotics may interfere with the breakdown of caffeine. :)

NO! Diet Pepsi is worse than regular Pepsi because in the Diet there are artificial sweeteners and since they are not real they make you crave real sugar triggering you to eat more sugary stuff which will be very unhealthy for you. Plus Diet Pepsi tastes like pee. I say you just stick with normal Pepsi or you just drink water.

Well, it could even though I haven't heard of it but I can see that it interferes with the amoxicillin.
One thing I know though, is that pups can increase the chances of getting an upset stomach or gas when taking antibiotics.

No there is no evidence of that. In fact, most medications work more efficiently when well hydrated. Diet Pepsi isn't the ideal "clear fluid" that the doc tells you to drink, but it does contain water and therefore hydrates you.
