Yup. Mines only 512MB.....actual MB is 495.
It only holds about 100 to 150 songs.
Your will have about 4 times more memory.

MP3 players, as with any audio storage device, should be judged by the minutes of music it will hold. Your documentation should give you an estimate of this. If it's long enough to keep you from being bored with the same music, then 4GB is plenty of memory.

try to get a psp, with a 4gb memory stick
its about the same money, plus you can hold videos, and pictures
if i were you, i would buy that video ipod, believe me, if you can afford it, buy it.

For me it's good enough. It still depends though if you have too many songs/videos/pictures you want to put in it.
