Dear Stanley:
Er-r-r, I don't think anyone is going to destroy the Moon anytime soon. It could be hit my some meteors and asteriods in our lifetime, however. Those impacts should have little impact upon the condition of our Moon because of their relative size in comparison to that of the Moon.
If the Moon were destroyed, part of the debris would fall to Earth, and part would shoot out into space away from the Earth (assuming some kind of explosion). The materials hitting Earth would be gigantic in comparison to previous asteroid and meteor hits we have discovered. So,
for all intents and purposes, life on Earth would cease to exist. Possibly, over a long, long time life forms might repopulate the Earth in one form or another.
:acking the Moon as an exterior pulling force, the Earth's waters would not be subject to tidal influences. That would be a significant change in the way various sealife obtain their food. Many sea creatures depend upon the ebb and flow of tides to deliver their food to them.
Please do not wait for the moon to go away any time soon.

Catastrophic impact of moon fragments would result in a dark winter as the sky would fill with impact soot. The climate would become much colder world-wide.
Tidal activity is a function of the gravity of the Sun and the Moon. Therefore, if we do survive the impact, the tidal cycle would be reduced, redistributing the food sources from the ocean, effecting our food supply.
On the bright side, there would be no lunatic activity in the Earth.

If the moon have been destroyed the Earth could no longer sustain itself. listed under are the events that could ensue (they won't be so as) The Earths bulge inflicting severe tide and occasional tide might stop. The Earth does no longer hav an axis, because of the fact the moons gravity is what makes the Earth survive its axis. The seasons may well be not greater. plenty greater probable we'd have rain snow and sunlight interior the comparable day additionally various temps because of the fact the axis is what creates the seasons. The Earth might spin to rapid inflicting the days to be shorter and after that the Earth could die out.

I'm not sure, if it just vanished out now where. We wouldn't have tides anymore, not sure what else. But back a billion years ago it would of been much different, some people believe the moon helped
create life, because it tides were about 1,000 feet, and stirred up minerals, and nutrients and helped create life. If the moon exploded that would be a much different story. We would probaly have metorite showers, and who knows what will happen.

No moon to light the night, maybe no tides, and maybe no Earth if the moon blew up and we went with it.

If it blew up, we'd get around 50,000 times as much debris down here as the asteroid weighed that killed the dinosaurs. Not even the cockroaches would survive. Just molten rock and old fruitcakes.
