he is not championship material and nerver will be.i have nerver liked him if it wasn't for his dad he would not have the fan base he has and his last name being earnhardt. he is nothing special and he is not the best looking driver he is the one with last name being earnhardt that goes along with money that is why the girls hang to him not because of racing.

Yes, I think it will come within the next 2 yrs. I do not see him winning as many as his dad or Jimmie Johnson, but I see winning atleast 1. Tony Jr better get his act together as well in order for it to happen, or Rick Hendrick will have to do something. But I think once Dale Jr and Tony Jr finally gets use to the HMS way and the great people and technology there, he'll get that championship. Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009

Um....He already is. He is in the Chase for the Cup. Will he ever be the caliber of driver his dad was or some of these other drivers are? Only time will tell. He has proven he can win championships being a former Busch Champ twice over. Sure he needs to curb some of his extra-curricular activities and focus more on the driving & such. But, he also needs to have his team be on the same page. It's not all in his hands.

The only way Jr will become Championship caliber is if he stops the drinking and partying all the time, screws his head on straight, becomes more serious about his racing, and moves to a different team. Nothing against DEI, but I think something will always be in the way of truly becoming a top shelf team in the same light as Hendrick, Roush, or RCR. Junior's got his fingers in so many different pies, it can't be a good thing.

Yes...he already is championship material. I think that Jr will win 2 cup Championships. DEI has made a turn-a-round this season and they are proving that Jr can battling it out with the other top teams.
It takes more than the driver to win the championship. The entire team has to be in sync.

Don't worry.., the organization will change the rules and tweak whatever they have to in order to get him there.
If not for the rule changes, he would never of been in the running for the cup.
GO JIMMY..,# 48
Sorry for ranting.., to answer, Yes he actually may be a very good driver, some day..,
but as we all know, it is not just the driver that gets the team all the way!

Junior is nothing special. The way that he wins most of his races is to slam the other driver's out of his way. Of course i guess the apple did not fall far from the tree.
He has no championships and is far from consistant. He needs to grow up and realize that he is NOT Nascar.

Yes, definitely. It may take another organization to get it done though. i.e. RCR.
