Great film.
Johar has deviated from the norm and instead has tried to create a mature film, one which tries to bring awareness to the traditional folks - through their children.
Strict rules circumambulated around the hindu culture are very rigid and usually society looks down on people that get a divorce or are thought to have bad marriages (it is thought that the woman is not trying hard enough to 'save' her family). Johar illustrates that it is neccessary to follow your dream, even if that means one has to break certain boundaries and norms. Rani's character has all the wealth in the world but is she happy? No, she pursues her dream to find a soul which she can optimize with. However it is important to relaise that the cost of these mistakes are initially hard. In the short run it is likely that you will upset people, find yourself alone and even suffer, but in the end...well in the end its all good (or else its not the end).
Which now reminds of SRK's dialogu in DDLJ - there are two roads in life one can take. The easy road may bring you happiness and comfort, but deep down you know you are unhappy. The other road is the hard road, it will make you cry, makes others cry and above all will make you feel weak, but deep down you know you have made the right decision.

Hindi -i think of it was once kabhi alvida naa kehna whilst they used to go away they used to declare alvida so as that they pronounced "kabhi alvida naa kehna". English- every time they used to bypass away they used to declare bye yet they pronounced "u ought to not say bye" u will ought to declare we could have the potential to fulfill as quickly as extra bcoz it kills all hopes of assembly lower back that's the place they gt the call kabhi alvida na kehna that's u will ought to nt say bye u could desire to declare c u L8R. desire this works

hey muskaan!!!
I don't knw about u and others. But I loved this movie alot. It has difference wat all is going in privacy is shown with big stars. My people didn't like seeing shahrukh or rani or priety or abhishek playing such role.
But same things are going on in serials there this same people who says we don't like KANK are seeing same serials.
I am saying for just saying. I wil name those serials where they r using some wat same concept.
Now start with Karam Apna Apna Hiten (Karan of Kyunki) came and explained Gauri to marry Shiv same as Sharukh to Rani in the first half.
Second in Twinkle Beauty Palour on SabTV same story. One Swetha likes other Swetha's husband and other Swetha and her husband are getting divorce. And same hotel scenc was picturised on them. Now people are seeing this serial dat's why they are running otherwise if they hav less TRP den they have stop dat serial.
And same is going on Kasam Se now people will like see Mr. Walia having affair with his wife's sister but they can' see Shahrukh having affair.
They can see Aamir Khan's movie who really betrayed her wife and had affair and left her son. But in movie they can't see Shahrukh betraying her wife and leaving her son.
The main problem was that Karan Johar commit was taking Shahrukh b'coz people can't see shahrukh in dat way.
Anyways this was my answer, i think u liked it. I am making a website on KANK, Its unofficial Website of KANK. So, if u like to give me an idea or any stuff to add, u r most welcome. Mail me at sahilkohli_2002@rediffmail.com
Address of KANK unofficial Website is http://www.kankthefilm.co.nr/
