Well, if you knew Him, you would know that He is always more interested in our hearts than our actions, don't get me wrong He really really cares about your entire self, your entire life, but what he truly cares about most is your heart, your motives behind what you do, so if you are in a trade that kills animals for profit, because that is your livelihood and how you support your family, then it is different than strangling kittens for fun. And Im not sure where you are from but I'm sure you know that most hunters, hunt for food and the thrill of it, not fun as in they enjoy murdering defenseless animals and then glory in their manliness. But responsible people are aware of how important hunting is for animal population control, There is nothing wrong with hunting a populous animal to feed your family, there is something wrong with murdering endangered species for more profit. I also think it's wrong to cut down ancient forests to make some tp or tissues when there is lots and lots of new growth forests for that or better yet recycled materials. My point was that it all depends on your heart.

If there's no moral distinction between harvesting blades of grass and killing large mammals, there's no reason we should not also kill retards and infants for their meat.

But there is, independant of IQ -- the herbivorous mammal needs acres upon acres of dead plants to grow. And by entropy you lose 90% of that energy -- so when you finally eat a handful of animal flesh, you've just wasted more than 10X the plant life taken.

That is, if "life" is universally sacred, eating meat is not equal to one death but millions in surplus.

According to the bible, in the beginning animals did NOT kill one another. In heaven it will be like it was then--the lion will lay down with the lamb.

It wasn't until sin entered the world that the animals started to kill each other.

basically you are asking whether god can create evil. that question assumes that there are universally valid moral values independent of god. that is a mistake. it is precisely because there aren't any universally valid moral codes that people create religions (all of them based on some sort of unprovable supernatural belief, god being one ), so that they can find some sort of moral security in a meaningless world.

in other words, without god there is no 'good' or 'evil'. it is god (or the religion based on that belief) that define what is good or and what evil. so your question is logically valid only if you accept god ( or similar unprovable belief in other religions).

if you accept god you have to accept god's creation without questions.(you have to accept "god works in mysterious ways" beyond human understanding etc. )
if you don't accept god your question is invalid since there is no such thing called evil and everyone (including animals ) is free to act as they wish

God set things in motion by creating the Universe, but does not control evolution. As the well-know philosopher said, "Sh*t happens."

"The inferiority of the human faculties renders it impossible for man to comprehend the essential nature of God"
not even the bible can explain god, as the bible was created by man.
