Hi Guys and Gals, have just purchased some brand new kicker boots and boy they ripped my poor little feet to ribbons.
Any suggestions as to help break them in otherwise they will be shoved in the back of my wardrobe and left never to be worn again

My sweet I usually bathe my feet in olive and lavender oil before I go out in new shoes... my feet become soft and supple and all the gentlemen love the smell the lavender gives off!

Buy some shoe-trees, shove them in the toe of the boots, and spread them out... Do this every day and leave like that for several hours, so that the shoe trees are doing the necessary stretching.

If you can't get a hold of shoe-trees, stuff a BUNCH of crumpled up newspaper into the boots, and let the newspaper do the stretching. Meanwhile, when you DO wear them, wear verrrry thick boot socks with them.

Hopefully, they are leather, and not man-made materials, so that they'll stretch easier...

HERE is a question for you........Did you try these boots on BEFORE you purchased them?? You cannot "break shoes in". Either they fit or they don't fit.

Put them on and walk around in them in the store. Try a size larger or smaller just to check for comfort. The pain is not worth the wearing if they don't fit properly. It is silly to buy something that you will never wear. RETURN THEM and get the correct size.

Hi!

I know EXACTLY how you feel!!

That was me yesterday!!

OMG, it was good to get home and get the darn things off!!

I my opinion, I think it's something we've just got to endure until we break them in. However, I find this happens to me when I wear only leather boots.

What I've been doing is wearing them in the house for about an hour at a time and they are slowly but surely starting to 'soften'.

Try and persevere - you've spent too much of your hard earned dosh on them to chuck them in the back of the wardrobe!

Hope this helps!!

Buy shoes that fit or suffer.
I wasted money on big name boots once. could never wear them more than an hour at a time. Education comes hard sometimes.
Donate them to Good Will.

I don't believe that a shoe should need to be broken in!!! If it doesn't fit then NEVER buy it!!! No matter how cute a shoe is, you won't look good walking with a limp and a pained look on your face!!!

So try on your shoes before you buy them and make sure you walk around the store a LOT to make sure they don't hurt you.

You could start by getting the right size

I think some shoe/boot stores will actually stretch your boots.

You buy new shoes in the afternoon. For me, at that time, that's your real foot size to fit in your new shoes. My opinion...
