Money is worth as much as a society acts like it is worth.
When you really think about it, money (cash) is just pieces of paper with some really fancy printing on it. What makes it valuable, especially in the United States, is the fact that everybody places so much value on having it. The fact that everyone wants it and everyone uses it to make transactions on a daily basis is what gives it enormous value.
So, in my opinion, money is worth a lot, but only because everybody believes in it.

The only worth that can be placed on money is the worth of the thing it buys. You don't think of money itself as being valuable - it's just a piece of paper. It's what it can buy - the nice car, the new shoes. Therein lies the value.

apparently to the people of today, it's just as worthy as life itself. but it shouldn't be.money is not worth the search for happiness within oneself.
