My friend is from Missouri and he calls a bunch of blankets on the floor to sleep on a pallet and I have never heard this I just call it a bed.

i guess if you don't have a MATTRESS, then it's a pallet.

its closer to a pallet than a a bed. a bed assumes that the sleeping surface is up off the floor, generally on a frame of some kind.

A pallet is allitle quick setup of blankets and a pillow on the floor.
A bed is not on the ground.

I would think a pallet would at least be some kind of plywood raised off the floor. The description you gave sounds more like a nest.

Yep, a pallot is what we call it too. A bed, is a BED.
