5/8 = 10/16 is the only number not between -1/2 and 7/16. If that minus sign was not intended, 3/8 is the only number between 1/2 and 7/6. All of the others are NOT between 1/2 and 7/16.

You defeated your own incorrect answer with decimals!
0.3 is smaller than 0.5
0.3 is also smaller than 0.43
How did you come up with .3 as being the RIGHT answer if it lies between both sides of the equations!
Dah!
This is why Americans are failing in the Math department!
-0.5 to + 0.43
Now does 0.3 go somewhere inbetween that or is it LARGER or SMALLER!
But that's OK, I knew this girl who was a Sophomore in Highschool and she didn't know what 0.1 of 10 was.
Maybe thats' why America lives so happly with 1.2% bank interest in savings accounts while they charge 26% interest in credit card debt!

-1/2 = -0.5
7/16 = 0.4375
so ur ans is 0.3
