there r several theories about how the world will end.
1: the earth's core wil cool down and stop rotating. this will cause the earth to lose its magnetic field. this wil allow radioactive rays from the sun to enter the earth's atmosphere. the will be no gravity at al because the earth's magnetic field is gone and there will be no water for the organism on the earh to survive. our beautiful earth wil bcum like the planet Mars.
2: the Sun converts hydrogen into helium. the core's hydrogen is nearly used up. the core colapses and bcums hotter. the helium starts to convert to carbon. the outer part of the star move outwards. at this point, the star is hot enuf to evaporate the water in our planet. when the Sun swell into a red giant, it wil becum so largeit will engulf Mecury and Venus and earth will be inside its atmosphere.
3: Our planet might be hit by a very big asteroid. ths asteroid will cause massive waves or Tsunami. The asteroid will be so powerfull tat its power is equal to 100mega tonnes of TNT. most organism will die because of the massive explosion. this explosion will also block sunlight because of all the dust lifted up into the atmosphere. Eventually when there isno sunlight, all the plants die then followed by the animals and humans. it will be just same like wat happened to the dinosours tat roamed the earth 65 million years ago.
All of this infomartion is typed n not refered by any books. i only watch national geographic to get all this info. sorry if my english is bad because i am from Malaysia n my english sux!!!! lol. ty ^^

Theory #1: The world is being carried on the back of a giant turtle which stands on four elephants. When the turtle falls off, the world will end.
Theory #2: The world is actually a lawn ornament in an alternate universe populated by garden gnomes. When the gnomes throw it into the recycling bin, the world will end.
Theory #3: The world actually did end last Wednesday, but CNN is running late.

Interesting you wrote 'world' instead of 'Earth'.
The Earth will surely end in a couple of billion years when the Sun's expansion will swallow up the Earth.
The world, i.e. civilisation as we know it will probably have long perished before then. This could be due to a series of factors ranging from massive asteroids hitting the Earth, mass epidemic, extreme weather, mega earthquakes, tidal waves, another ice age, nuclear war, robots taking over, food shortage, water shortage, aliens attacking us, or armageddon, the final judjement.
