please help me i need to name my new pet ants but no-one will listen in my family??

I had a couple of ants at one time, but whatever I choose to call them, they never responded, I think they were the most boring pets I ever had, I couldnt seem to teach them anything I think the guy in the pet shop ripped me off, he told me they were very fast learners, so I paid $150 the pair!!
He wouldnt give me my money back, he said he was fed up with us Americans complaining??
