The two could be complete strangers.
Why is that?
Why the hatred?

Not sure...maybe they thought the other woman "stole" her idea. Maybe that woman just wanted to be one of a kind and unique to be wearing those clothes.

Because women like to stand out, especially at proms or other formal functions. For another women to DARE to wear the exact same outfit is an insult. We have a Karen Eagle out here, and when they sell prom dresses they take down the school you go to. That way no other girl from the same school can buy that same dress.
It's a female thing, I'm sure. I'm making my dress for a little prom thing we're having in December. That way I can be sure no one else is going to have the same dress. It's stupid, I know, but I don't think women can help it.

This happened to me one time and I made a new friend. I went over and complemented the woman about her impeccable taste. We had a great time hanging out and laughing. I never understood why sometimes women get silly in this situation. I think it is great fun.

It's never happened to me but I think I would find it kind of amusing if it did. It's be like, hey look! My long lost twin!
