Of course that is. I think my daughter was almost 8mths before she could sit without any support behind her. She rolled early, crawled right on time (although just backwards for the first few wks before she got the forwards part figured out), and looks like she is going to walk on time too. This stuff all depends, and really isnt a big deal. Only if your 1yr old isnt sitting is there a problem!!

PS. Hold the horses! Possible developmental problem if your 6mth old cant sit by themselves??? That is crazy talk there.

Hello,

I have twin baby girls who were born preemies @ 32weeks. They did not start rolling over and sitting up until they were 7 months.

So, I would not worry. Plus, babies have their own timetable for reaching milestones.

Right now, at 11 months, my twins are more than happy crawling still. They move so fast that they seem to see no reason to walk yet. I see you problem with they crawling yet either.

Hope this has helped you... :-)

Every baby develops differently. No 2 babies are alike If you still have concerns about your baby developments you can ask its pediatrician. I have a 16 month old and he isn't walking yet, I'm not concerned because he was born prematurity.

Normal. You can't compare growth and development rates on children. Each has there own pace.

No baby is the same, give her a break.Your child does not have to be the first to do things.Good God woman, just enjoy your baby and stop trying to force things.
