I've always been told that "no man will know the hour." I have no doubt that by October 31st we just may be at war with North Korea. We will still have soldiers dying in Iraq. We will not yet have Osama in custody. We will have bills to pay and disease will still be killing innocent children. However, on October 31st...there will still be people falling in love, children walking our neighborhoods getting candy from neighbors, people donating time to make the world better, health care professionals working overtime to care for the sick, families spending time together, and Puffy will be getting a paycheck while Dave G_10 sees Saw3. Carpe' Diem!!!

are you talking about that article that was in 'the sun'?
if you are, it said on the second part of the title some thing like 'but not for another two million years'. some scientists said that the average lifespan of a species is like 2mil years, and that, in 2mil years, the world will suffer another cataclysmic event (similar to the one that wiped out the dinosaurs) and wipe out all humans from the earth and start another ice age. they followed this by saying that giant rats will be ready to take over as the dominant species throughout the iceage and after. haven't got a clue how they settled for october 31st though. maybe for dramatic effect or publicity or something.

Stop obsessing about the end of the world and enjoy your life while you have it. People freaked over the first millenium and nothing happened. The bible thumpers all came out for the last one and guess what? NOTHING HAPPENED. If the world IS fated to end there's nothing we can do about it so why worry? Never let a screaming christain make you live in fear. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Peace!

i hope not its my nieces birthday and i want a party lol
and if you believe in all that stuff about the world ending then you need to start focussing on something else honestly if it were going to end i doubt we would even get to know about it. it would just happen in a puff of smoke lol. live for today and make the most of it, we aint here forever anyway so why worry about whether the world is going to end.

Noone knows the day nor the hour, God is the only one that knows when that will happen, not even the angels in Heaven know when that will be. Life will be going on just the same here on earth. We will be eating and drinking, people will be given in marriage. When we least expect it, that will be when it will happen. My advice live everyday as if it is your last, and look up for our redemption draweth nye. God bless us all.

No, aside from all of the snowstorms and terrible events in the world, I don't think the world will end. When the world ends, I'll be asking the old George Carlin like, "When will Jesus bring the porkchops?"
