I'm having a little 'get- together' next Saturday. All of the guys are South African and they are all beer drinkers, but prefer wine. Some of the Japies like wine too much! Should I go with Korean beer or try and impress them with South African wine? They are all coming from the Korean countryside to Seoul and haven't had SA wine in a long time. My choices are Johannisberger (8dollars), Nederburg Chardonnay (12 dollars), St. Raphael (5dollars) and any Douglas Greene wine (18 dollars). What do you guys think?

Depends... If they're Valies they might like the semi-sweet stuff. Capies would probably appreciate the Chardonnay. Here in Taiwan KWV is also available (through scarce). If you can find that in Seoul it will give you a quality option.

See if you can't find Spier wine. A not so expensive but very nice wine. But all your other choices are great! Get them some biltong and boerewors!

Pinotage (Zonnebloem makes the best)
It's red and fruity, but dont buy a cheap one, or else it will be bitter.
But going by you're options, I guess the Nederburg.
(Be sure to take two bottles back with you, after you're holiday in January, it is January isnt it?)
