Yep; I think about it.

But I never think of things as a waste of time. Everything is good while it lasts, so the trick is not to let in any expectations about how long it will last for.

It isn't the souring of a relationship that is a problem it's the unfulfilled expectations we hang on to that make the problems.

The worst relationship I ever had is the one that gave me my babies.

I can't see past those people far enough to be bitter about their mother.

A helpful relationship is never a waste...when things go sour, they can still be sweet at the same time :)

I only have one ex-boyfriend, with whom I've spent 5 months. I learned from that relationship. I can't believe some of the things I've put up with, before I knew what is was to be treated right. Also, I learned that while you can't know right away that someone is right for you, as soon as you know for sure that someone isn't, get out RIGHT AWAY. I've been with my husband for a total of nearly 13 years, and I can't imagine our relationship ever going sour, but in the case of people who spend years with someone and then break up, I could understand that it would feel like wasted time. A person who suddenly finds themself single in their forties or older, especially if they were dumped after a long relationship would probably feel like they youth was stolen from them.

No you know I never really thought about that. It is true though. I had only been in a few relationships before I met my husband and got married and I think that just 1 of them was a waste of time. I left all the others finding out something about myself that I didn't know.

If I am hurt in the relationship, I may dwell on the time spent. Otherwise, I just say live and let live.

Yes. No, I usually don't consider it to be wasted time. I try to be optimistic and ho[e that they have learned something beneficial from me that will help them in their lives.

No, it's not wasted time, because good or bad, everybody before now, has made you who you are.
